On Friday, April 28, Lincoln-Hancock Elementary School was pleased to host Mike Casinelli, Urban Forester for Quincy’s Parks and Forestry Divisions, for an outstanding Arbor Day celebration! The event was also attended by Daniel Cathcart, Tree Warden for the City of Quincy, and a forester from the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation.

The highlight of the event was the planting of a new tree on the Water Street side of the building. The DPW team demonstrated how to plant a tree, showing them the proper techniques to ensure the tree's health and longevity.

In addition to the tree planting, the team also gave each L-H 4th grader a tree to plant at home, promoting the importance of conservation and community involvement!

Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Casinelli and the team, our students gained valuable knowledge about the importance of trees in our community!
